2026 Budget Speech: Demand a BIG Now!
Together, we have tirelessly campaigned for a Basic Income Grant in Mzansi.
The budget speech is another opportunity for us to keep up the pressure. Send Minister Godongwana a message ahead of his 2026 Budget Speech and tell him to increase the R370 SRD grant to match the Food Poverty Line, expand it to include the over 10 million people who are excluded, and turn it into a Basic Income Grant.

Why is this important?
Millions in Mzansi cannot afford to put food on the table. The Basic Income Grant will allow people to afford basic needs and lead decent livelihoods. Research by economists and experts has shown that not only is the BIG affordable, but it can also generate far greater economic growth.
