Stop Rachel Dolezal from talking in South Africa

This campaign has ended.

Stop organising South African events for Rachel Dolezal to speak at. Joburg Theater has already removed her as a guest.

Why is this important?

Rachel Dolezal is a white american woman who claims to be black. She has lied about being African American, many other aspects of her biography, and alleged hate cries against her. She accepted jobs intended for black people and falsely represented black communities. She will be speaking at an event called "Quest for a Non‐Racial South African Society Dialogue" on the 19th of April, hosted by Tsiloab Project Consulting‐PTY LTD. Please see below an interview with her parents who confirm that she is lying.

She has given classes on black hair in America and black identity and has appropriated black art for her own personal gains throughout the years. It is beyond our control what she does in her country but we will not stand for such appropriation and lack of respect of the black community here in South Africa. Objectification of black pain is one of the main traits of white American culture and in South Africa, we are fighting towards removing white supremacy and especially objectification of black pain. Please sign if you are against the invitation of Rachel Dolezel, and feel free to send your complaints directly to the organisers: 011 682 3500 or 082 439 0156
