Tell the Saldanha Bay Municipality to stop violating human rights
IOL has reported that roads around beaches in Saldanha Bay have been closed and that the Saldanha Bay Acting Municipal Manager, Mr Jacques Marais, has issued beach passes to residents close to the beachfront to control access to beaches*. Send Mr Marais a direct message to demand the Municipality ceases with road closures and that he stops issuing apartheid-style beach dompasses.

Why is this important?
This is a violation of human rights and reminiscent of the apartheid government's issuing of dompasses. The Saldanha Bay Municipality should be working to make public spaces more accessible to poor and low-income families, not reinforcing spacial divisions along racial and class lines.
